Paw Patrol is a popular animated television series about a boy who leads a pack of rescue dogs that work together on missions to solve problems. It is so popular that there will be a live tour of the show later this year. Our 5 year old nephew loves this show so much that he can watch episode after episode without flinching or making any sounds, except when he yells "Chase is on the case!!"
I'm a fan of most shows for kids on TV nowadays; however, I really think that Paw Patrol is a great show because it stresses teamwork and problem solving skills. Obviously kids under 10 years old are still dependent on their parents for most things, but it really is never too early to teach kids how to solve problems on their own.
More importantly, it is never too early to instill financial education and a foundation of money literacy for your children. For example, when you go grocery shopping, you can draft up a budget and a list of items that you want to buy and then go with your kids to shop. Making a fun learning experience out of a common activity and kids will absorb much quicker.
