Hi Everyone, it's that time of year again! Christmas is our favourite holiday...and this one is extra special. Not only are we spending it with our 7 month old daughter, but we've moved back home to Vancouver! We had worked and lived in Toronto for the past several years, but we packed our bags and moved back this past September. We are happy to be home, especially for the holidays!
I still can't believe that our move went so smoothly in such a short timeframe but it's really a result of meticulous planning. "The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." This quote from Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu illustrates that even the most complicated venture can start with a simple move...and any journey can be smooth with strategic planning. No matter what your project or task is, spending some time to develop a detailed schedule, budget and objectives will ensure that you accomplish your goal. For example, if you need to renovate your basement, having a solid plan will make the experience smooth and pleasant.

If we provide children with a solid foundation in planning, especially when it comes to money management, then they will grow up equipped with the skills to be successful and financially literate.
